Backing up PS2 games
 

OK, I am postive this has already been asked and I did look through quite a few pages of topics, but i didn't find one.

Do you need a DVD burner to back up PS2 games?

I just got my PS2 last week, better late than never I guess. I have backed up all my PSX games just fine. But PS2's require DVD-R's so I am guessing I need a DVD burner. But I figured I better ask before buying one.

Its possible to rip the dvd's to cd-r but its long and can be quite hard. Better off buying a dvd writer and using direct backups.

yeah I have ripped dvd's and put them on cdr's as VCD's I just didn'y know you could do it with PS2 games! But yeah you're right I will probably buy a dvd burner.
