OMG i just modded my ps2!!! (couple of quick questions)
 

lol.. completely surpised myself and it actually works... well kinda.

just made backups of gta:vc and gt3 and they seem to work fine.

but tryed a number of PS1 backups and none booted. tryed the boot procedure you need to do with the chip and it keeps coming up with the red mist/insert a ps2 disk.

what could have gone wrong? dvd's work ok.

oh and its the magic3 chip.


is there anything i need to look out for when backing up games. i mean are there any problems i should know of like crashing in games or whatnot.. (i dont want to be stuck with a dud game if i bugger up my original.)

Check that the S wire is properly attached.
