Yeah I tried to install the 22 wire modchip by myself
 

and I fried the PS2 motherboard....... =/
If anyone who is thinking about installing the chip themselves, good luck!

And I tried the 5 wire PSX chip and fried my board :mad: :p :D
(was couple of years back now :p )

Seriously, if you know what you are doing then go for it, if not then get a pro to do it.
