gta vice city PROBLEM
 

Some times during the game when its loading ,it just stalls or crashes.or it comes up with error cannot read cd,it is the original dvd,I have neo 2.2 installed also.I have other dvd games that play just fine.thanks.

This is the beginning of the end.... The laser is on its way out... Try cleaning the laser with a cleaning disc, and see if it will help...

Well it looks like the Neo 2.2 has claimed ANOTHER victim..... Get rid of that chip while your PS2 still works....

yeah, Bg is right, first clean the laser, if that dont help then i would check into a replacement laser (if you have a v3 or v4) or i would sell the console and buy a new one with a no swap chip.There is no use replacing the laser and leaving in the neo2.2. If you do then it will just gradually burn it up again. May as well save up (if necessary) and buy a no swap chip and be done with it.

Its the 30002r model ,I may just have to sell it ,so the neo burns out the laser? If I had know that I would not have installed it...

Yes.... The Messiah/Messiah 2, Apple,Magic 2/3, are all safe to use...

Try turning of the Graphics blurs, and turn the Music down, then start to play the game.

None of the 80's music, but the game will play.
