Please help me with DirectCD.

Hi there, i need some help with the following problem,

I have information i need to get of a cd which i made using Direct Cd. What the problem is, my pc was away getting fixed so the computer company has completely reloaded my hardrive and instead of loading DirectCD back on the machine they have loaded Nero onto it.

I have loads of disks that came with the pc originally and one of the disks has DirectCD version 2.5d on it, so it loaded it onto the computer only to find it keeps saying No Supported CD-R/CD-RW drive supported, how can this be if it was originally installed on the system?.

Im using windows milllenium.

and my burner is a samsung combo SM-304B.

The burner is recognised by nero so i dont think it is a connection problem.

Someone please help me as i need the information from the disk as nero cant read it as it wasnt burned by it.

I need yoyr desperately.

Thanks again.

Regards.

I use direct CD.. which if you'll read in my post above seems not to be very reliable... check it out before you continue using Direct..

I have been using Direct CD with Win 98 for about 2 years. At work we use Nero and Win XP. At home I can read not only my CD's but the ones from work as well. If I take a CD to work written by Direct CD I can't read it using Nero. So it seems that Direct CD can read Nero but Nero can't read Direct. At least the versions I use at work anyway. They may have updates now.. So what I mean by all this is that you probably need to reinstall Direct and use it or at least to get to your files and move them to your HD. Then uninstall it and use Nero to reburn them.
