upgrade or not??
 

good news is the messiah2 has just arrived in NZ, I am eager to get one but my PS2 is a ver3 and from what i have read the laser on these are crap. I have had my PS2 for just under a year and would say it has only had light to moderate use for games only.
So do i get my messiah2 and hope everything goes well or do i save more money and buy a later version ps2 first.
Sorry to be long winded but would appreciate advice on this.

P.S will i need to have my laser calibrated after being modded??

all depends every v3 diff
if u only bought it a year ago i doubt its a v3 1 year ago in uk would been v4 or possibly v5

Im in New Zealand and it is a v3....we are always about 6 months behind the UK for PS2 releases which sucks.
