PSX2 & DVDs backups..PLEASE HELP !!
 

Hi!
I have a PSX2 bought in UK (Model no. SCPH-30003 R)...How do I know which version Im using ????
Can anyone tell me which is the best mod chip for my console to play backups DVDs & backups PSX2 games!

I've also ordered a PIONEER DVR-A05 DVD writer...Did I make the right choice (according to a lot of people on this site, this is the best one out there!!...or isn't it???...) I can still cancel the order and get a diffrent one..LOL !! Please let me know !!

But I think the real problem is....WHAT TO F**K DO I DO, WHEN I GET IT ?? LOL... I mean..Im not a master when it comes to fidling with insides of my PSX2..I hope is easy to install the chip !!

Do I need a gameshark ??...which one ??

If you don't want to mod the machine yourself then try speaking to charlie_ps2 or dust2dust through this forum.

No - it's not easy. There are 20-some-odd wires to solder, and some of them are very, very difficult.

Get an installer if you're not comfortable. There are a bunch in the UK that'll do it - do a search on this forum for more on that.

What about magic v2 or v3 mod chip, is that a good one too? Some people on this forum suggested it !?!

I think Ill go for the messiah v2...cause looks like you good people know what you're talking about!
