Send ElkayPS2 a e-mail.... He is one of the Mac GURU's on this forum. He should be able to help you out...

hope u aren't telling me to shutup, hope it was directed at the dude who started the quote. Hey all i want is some help not smart asses, there is enough of them in the world. besides copping it on the net, anyway thanks foryour input, does the media u use make a different i'm trying laser brand

BG 04-12-2002 21:54

Media can play a BIG part in deciding if your PS2 will boot the game or not......

willow78 04-12-2002 21:56

is it worth testing with dvd-rw?? what brand do u use

BG 04-12-2002 22:01

That's what I would do.... At least if it doesn't work you can just ERASE the disc..... Although unless you have a newer PS2, such as a V5 or higher, it may not read the DVD-RW.....
(My V5 will read them no problem)

I use Princo White Label DVD-R's.... And will be switching to Datasafe DVD-R as soon as a "friend of mine" sends them to me....

Traxdata works great (datasafe uses the same dye).... But are hard to get them in the US...... I have to have a friend of mine get them and then send them to me.....

You can always use the "BIG" brand names such as Verbatim, but they are very expensive....

willow78 04-12-2002 22:06

any idea when elkayps2 comes on line

BG 04-12-2002 22:08

Not really.... Just e-mail him through his profile... He will get back with you....

willow78 04-12-2002 22:10

one last question dude, i used tdk brand dvd-rw heard anything bad about using them for testing, or laser dvd-r's

BG 04-12-2002 22:13

TDK's don't seem to be too bad.... Although I do know someone who got a bad batch of them, but for the most part they are fine... As far a "laser brand dvd-r's" I've never heard of them...

Good luck with everything....

Sorry willow, I just hate seeing ppl use a thing that shouldn’t even be called a computer.

I’m going to take a guess here… I would see if your burning software will let you make an image is the PS2 game. If so make an image and save it one you hard drive for safe keeping. Then open the image with the software and burning it to a DVD-R.

knotsville said he burned a game with ‘Toast-Titanium 5.xx’ I would hop on your fav. P2P and download it and see if that works for you.

If you can get your hands on a DVD-RW for your PC, get one, I have a Philips and it works great for copying.

Don’t tell me to shupup, my PC will do laps around any Mac. And I can do a hell of a lot more with my PC, maybe I can’t do high end video and image editing like the Mac can, but I know my PC will out perform it in almost every way.

Great, enjoy your PC. Some people prefer Macs so let them enjoy their Macs. No need for bashing them.
