OK im new NEw at this i just got a magic2 mod and im about to install it, now how do i know the difference in a dvd gme and a regular game (ps2), also now that im reading about i hear about the magic chip 2 and 3 having problem, are they any good, or hould i return them before i install it and get something else, oh yeah and i got a cdr writer i heard that i dont need a dvd writer to record dvd games is this true and if so where do i get the software, thanks alot guys, and thanks for the help! :confused:

In my opinion I would return the Magic 2 and order a Messiah 2 from Charlie_PS2 or Dust2Dust....
Use the search button and do a search on "ripping"... You will likely find all of your answers....
It is possible to rip a dvd game to fit on a cdr....
I personally dont.... Too much hassle... (at least for me :D )
DVD writers are coming down in price... That is the way I would go if I were you....

Get a dvd burner if possible. If you cant afford it now then save up. It will be an investment you wont regret. It will save you a lot of hastle. Ripping takes too much work especially in the long run.

Ok thanks i just talk to the people in modchip.com thats where i bought the magic 2, but now as son as im trying to give it back and get a messiah 2 i hope they take it back, with the i dont have to boot the ps1 or dvd differently do i? and where can i buy it led me know!

the difference in a DVD game and a cd game is dvd is silver/gold and cd game is blue
