Question on a DVD writer I just purchased...
 

anyone here ever use the sony DVD+RW DRU-120A? know if ps2 backups made on this will work with a modded ps2?

If you have a Version 5 or higher you should be ok... If its a V4 or lower you may have problems......
You will just have to try it and see....

how do I tell which version I have?

Post its serial #, it begins SCPHxxxxxxx

Also give us the date code... Should start with U and have a number beside it..... That may help also...

ok... its model SCPH-30001 R

only thing i see with a U is the serial its U0549535

Check the expansion bay and see if you have this screw....

If so, its a V5.....:D

nope dont have the screw.

If you have the R at the end of the SCPH number, and you don't have that screw....Then it should be a V4......

my god BG, i've just checked out your list of games. I thought I had a lot, but you've gone close to doubling my collection.

Still haven't updated it.... I have about 20 more to add... I don't have ANYWHERE near what some other people here have.... But thanks..... I like it.....:D
