Question for Charlie

Check this out, I have a PS2 V7 (39001) with the magic2 in it.
All of a sudden every time I turn it on it shows the Playstation 1 and 2 logos, then it goes into system configuration, and when I eject the tray it ejects fast and doesn't stop, you can hear the gears and the little motor still running with the tray is full open it only stops if you tab the reset button, I also noticed that when it shows the screen where you choose "Browser" or "System configuration" the electrons are not swirling I only get one big electron. Do you know what happened? I’m I going to have to beat it with a bat?
Please, help. Thanks.

You've possibly got multiple causes. Check these items:
  1. The Magic 2 hasn't shifted and/or isn't grounding
  2. The W wire hasn't come off
  3. Other wires haven't come adrift
  4. Power/GND are at least 24 awg and are less than 4cms long
I've looked up some similar reports and these wre the fixes. The disk tray motor is the difference which is why I suggest wires adrift or chip grounding.

Is there an alternative to the original grounding point for the ground wire?

By the way how much do you charge for a PS2 (NTSC) premoded with the messiah2?

I removed the chip, but left all the connections to the PS2 motherboard, and it still does it. Do you thinks the Bios got screwed or something?
