(not a mod chip question) ok if i buy xbox live ok.and i dont have cable or dsl connection, what if i run my network card to my xbox sign on line and then start up xbox live u think it would work?

If you mean signing up through a modem connection, the answer is no. I'm pretty sure MS has somekind of speed regulator.
