Noob Here, Need Help!!!

Could someone PLEASE tell me how to backup PS2 DVD rom games (Ex: Tony Hawk 4, Onimusha 2, Socom, etc...) to a CD-R disk, is it even POSSIBLE??? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help! I need it soo much!!! Thanks :)

Yes, It is possible providing you have a dvd-rom (to read the disc) and a cd writer....
In my opinion its a waste of time and too much trouble.....
Use the search button on the forum and search for "ripping"... You should find most of your answers....

And of course you will need a GOOD mod chip to play the dvd-rips.

Well, I DO have a Cd burner and I DO have a DVD rom... so im safe there. I am guessing I just pop the dvd in, get a decent ripping program, patch it and burn it to a 700 meg CDR? Wont this mess up the game a little, considering they are origionally MASSIVE in size???

Yes... It does take alot out of a game..... When you rip out the movies and other extras in a game, it makes some games not even worth playing anymore....
And since alot of mod chips won't boot dvd-rips you are much better off purchasing a dvd-writer and making 1:1 backups....

Another PS2 "guy with no ps2 experience" with a related question...

Can a PS2 game on CD be copied exactly the same way as a PS1 game?

Does it say on the game box weither the game is on a CD or DVD?

That is all.
