whats wrong in Resident Evil2? :(
 
Whats wrong??When im saving and want to load the game i can't, the save doesnt show up in the load screen.. I can see the saving IF i run with Win 98 compitable in WIN XP.. im running my computer on a:

AMD XP 2000+
512 DDR RAM 333 mhz
GF 4 ti 4200
Win XP


i think the problem is Win XP, but i dont have the time or the space to install Win 98 on my harddriver, so plz if someone knows how to fix this , plz answer

Yes the problem is Windows XP but the only likely solution is the one which you have stated - compatibility mode. Resident Evil 2 is an old game and so not designed for XP, so just stick with the compatibility mode settings.

Yea but, When im running it in Win 98 compitable then the damn screen is 320x something , Its so damn small i can't see anything lol :(

I know, it's very frustrating to try and get older games running under XP. That's why almost everyone who games a lot makes a second partition with Windows 98/Me. I do it too. I've still got a hideous mouse lag bug in Counterstrike, forcing me to regularly reboot to Windows Me to play a game. On top of that comes the fact that most console conversions for pc have very few options you can change, and use sometimes strange video and audio routines. The easiest thing is making a dual boot. Check Google with keywords "making", "XP", "dual boot" and you should find some easy guide in how to do it. I found a usenet thread about your problem here, have you tried setting it to win95 compatibility ?
