New World Order doesn't work
 

I've burned the game, succesfully installed along with DirectX 8.2. When I start the game, it works fine, when I start a new campaign and the map is loading, it works fine. But when it's done loading it says:

NWO: Entering Game

But it flashes back to Windows and nothing happens, does anyone know what the problem could be and if so how to solve it. Cause I haven't seen this weird bug yet.

Does the same thing happen when you install from the original cds?

Yup, I've lend them from a m8 of mine. Btw I've got a good videocard (GeForce 2 MX), drivers and DirectX (8.2).

new world order is very buggy.
download patch 1.1 and try again.
i´m working on a nocd patch.
it will be online in 30min on my site.

When you said you installed from the originals, did you use a crack or not ? We have to be sure that this happens even when no crack is used. What version drivers do you have installed for your geforce ? Try lowering the sound hardware acceleration slider in dxdiag.exe. Does any other game crash ?

I didn't use any crack, I used the latest GeForce 2 MX 400 drivers, 40.72 and they're fine. No other game crashes and I've just tried the audio thingy, doesn't work.

I have the same problem on loading a map!

I have a geforce 4 ti 4200, and it has crashed even without a Crack / with original CD


Maybe an update can fix that nasty bug:confused:

Well, I'm fresh out of ideas. Looks like you guys just have to harass the publisher about new patches. Maybe you better go check out the official game forums, with symptoms like this, there are bound to be more people who complain there, add your voice to the noise ;)

Hi, I have the exact same problem except when mine is loading up from the start, all I get is a black screen and then it eventually closes down to desktop.

I wrote to the technical support guys - see reply below.

OK here's what you do
1. Uninstall NWO
2. check motherboard for VIA chipset. If present please update to V4.45

3. Install DX 8.2 (on disk) (e=cd rom drive E:\Dx\DirectX filename dxsetup.exe)
4. reboot computer
5. Download and install latest drivers for your Grapics card
6. same goes for the sound card.
7. Install NWO
8. Install NWOUpgrade1.0-1.34.exe (attached to this mail)

I've done all this and it still wont run ok. Im using an ATI 8500 craphics card with updated drivers, along with windows 98.

Anyone got the answer ??
