well just purchased it
but when i back it up
and try to install i get a message
an error occured while launching the setup.
Catastrophic failure
i used clone cd 2.8.5.2 with hp 9300
i've been able to do my unreal tournament
2003
and all others too but of course i've had to use no-cd fixes to play
well any way of getting help backing up my original

i made a copy
 

you must of had a bad copy or you bruned it bad. it has safedisk 2 on it i use clony and had it configure my clone cd 4 to burn it for me. i was able to make a 1:1 copy.:D

MOHAA-SH uses SD2.80.10, CloneCD can´t backup it atm, the copy will work on drives unable to read pregap only ...
so give Blindwrite 4.2.3 or Alcohol 120% a try ... remeber that you´ve to enable CloneCDs hide cd-r media function or enable Daemon Tools´ SafeDisc emulation if you play from writer, ´cause newer SD2 version check ATIP!

Firstly, your Clone CD version is very out of date - check www.elby.ch for the latest version.

In Alcohol 120% you are able to select the copy protection from a drop down box and it'll select the correct settings (in this case you select Safedisk 2).

also is it possible to bypass the the update and the first version
check read here on this forum or on another that there was a download out there that supposedly did this
i do not wanna download it but hacking my own would be sweet
please advise download would be nice but would take forever

ok i swear when i scaned it with clony it said safedisk2v and i made a 1:1 back up of it..i swear! i play the game with the backup copy with no crack.. im telling the truth. :confused:

:( I got a big problem. i got a working copy of medal of honor spearhead. it works at 2 other pcs with no problem but at my pc it doesnt. everytime i try to install it it doesnt even get to the point where i have to enter the cd key. the step right before that when i klick next it says "The registration number was not correct. the instalation cannot continue" and it quits the setup. does anyone know whut to do about this???as i said the coyp is working. i installed it at tow other different pcs. PLEASE HELP!!!:( :confused:

Do you have an original MOH installation ? With a valid cd key ? I think the program detected the old MOH key and decided it wasn't valid. So, do you have the original discs and cd keys for both MOH and Spearhead ?

ya it could be. but the thing is that i have an orginal medal of honor AA game. i bought in january in canada so its the US version. the cd key has to be valid to. because i tried to install MOHAA at at a different pc at my home so that i could try if my sperhead copy works there. and it did. so that cant be the reason for that. please help me!!!!!! i really need to play the add on for the best game o the year!!!

My friend bought Spearhead and couldn't get it to install. Bombed before it asked for serial number with an error about memory then the registration number was invalid and BOOM, done. When the error came up it asked if I wanted to debug as he has Visual C++ installed so I hit Cancel and it went to debug mode. It then told me that NVIEW.DLL had caused and error so I told it to continue past the error and it installed the game without ever asking for the the serial number and now it works fine even with the no cd patch. He recently uninstalled the Detonator Driver for his Geforce 4 MX and has strange issues ever since.

On another note, I tried to make a 1:1 copy with my Spearhead using ClonyXXL and CloneCD 4 and it doesn't work. The image I made works fine with Daemon tools when I load the emulator and mount the imge on my drive, but the physical copy is a no go. Should I assume that my writer can read the protection but not write it? Damn little Samsung, I should have bouth a Philips.:rolleyes:

thanks so much i tried whut u said and it REALLY worked. how strange is that. why the hell has the detonator driver something to do with that instalation. whut i did was just unsinstall the detonator driver. then install the game( which worked this time!!) then reinstalled the newest detonator driver. and the game worked.thanks soooo much again and have fun playing it
