If you mean Mercedes Benz Truck Racing, I'm pretty sure that the last nocd available is 1.19Beta for the international version, 1.09Beta for the German version. It's very, very hard to find those beta patches, so in effect those nocd's are useless. I think the last official patch is 1.10, but there's no real copy protection in the game, only a cd check. So I'd advise to install the latest patch (probably 1.10, maybe different for the german version) and make an image of the cd with clonecd, and mount that image using daemon tools. This will allow you to play without any cd at all. You could also just copy the cd with clonecd and use the backup, as I said there should not be any copy protection on the game. Have you tried copying the cd and using the copy ? If not, try it, before your original gives the ghost :D

WOW

The Game is like 800 megs on disc.
It uses the oversize trick.

The Older versions dont like my rig(GF4 42oo).

The New patch runs fine, but theres no cd check remover ANYWHERE!!!

Thanx for the help though.

Cheers!!

I don't have it anymore, gave it to a nephew of mine, but I once made a backup disc of the original that worked with v1.10 so I know it's possible. Alas, the backup's there too ;) I'll tell you what I remember about it : I think I just made a compilation with nero, I copied all files over from the cd, and made a little extra subdirectory with the v1.10 patch. I could be wrong, but I think that's all that was required : just copy over the good files, ignore the oversize ones. I can't tell you which is which of course, so look for "funny' big files and try to determine which contains the setup data and which is just a dummy file. Make a compilation cd like I described, maybe on cdrw to test it without making coasters. It should work fine after you install the v1.10 patch, I think it only checked that the cd was in the drive (don't forget the volume label).

Alternatively, have you tried making an image with clonecd ? Whatever Clonecd can get off the cd, you should be able to mount it with daemon tools and try it with the 1.10 patch. Test this, and if it works, you don't need the cd in the drive at all.

I remember Zedy posting something about oversized discs. I think he said something along the lines of:

1: Create a temp directory, copy everything from the original game disc to it EXCEPT the oversized files. Include that patch Rincewind is pointing you to as well if you want.
2: Install the game, now the oversized files will be of a 'decent' size.
3: Copy THESE oversized files (From the installed directory) to the temp directory.
4: Burn back to cdr/rw. Should have a working backup now.

If I'm wrong, flame me. ;)
