Mafia Problems

Has anyone been able to make workable copies of all three Mafia disks? If so, please tell me how you did it. I have no problem using fastdump option on first disk, but the problem comes when I try on disk two and three. Since you have to start the program for the safedisk emulator on daemon tools to work, you can't have anything but the first disk of the game in the cdrom. How do you emulate and fastdump the second and third cd? I could really used the help; I've wasted so much time trying to make a working copy of all three cds. I don't even care whether it is a 1:1 copy. I just want it to work without hangups. Using Clone v4 and daemon with my Plextor px-w4012a just isn't working. When I try install the game with the backups, it gets stuck on the second disk. Arghhh!!!!

i have made a successful copy of mafia using BlindWrite Suite to create a image of the cd's then burn them onto cd-r later.

my copy doesn't even need a fixed executable or crack to run.

if using blindwrite use the settings extract subcodes and for the method use nibble, while the speed it reads at should be set to 1x - 4x but never higher than 4x.

if this doesn't work post here again or it could be your burner.

I have done mine using Clone cd 4 and the old method of make temp directory, drag cd content, burn to cdr!!! you must name cdr as origional.

What do you mean by renaming the cdr as the original. How do I do this? Thanks for your patience and help.

No you didn't. Clonecd is only for making exact copies of the entire cd, it's not for making a compilation cd where you drag together the files you want on the cd. SO how did you do it ? Did you use CloneCD to make an exact copy of the entire cd, or did you use a program like Nero or CDRWin to copy the files to a temp directory and then make a compilation of those files in the temp directory ?

I wasn't aware that the guy was trying to make a compilation cd of mafia. From his origional post, i took it that he was trying to back up the 3 discs individualy. he has since emailed me direct and it would seem that i am right. Please mail me direct if you disagree!!

I'm just pointing out the fact that you can't do what you describe with clonecd, you need a cd authoring program like Nero, Easy CD Creator.... You're probably just confused about some names of cd recording software.
