I HAVE A PIONEER DVR 104 THE FIRMWARE VERSION IS 1.10. SHOULD I DOWNLOAD THE LATEST VERSION.? I HAVE HEARD OF SOME PROBLEMS WITH THE LATEST FIRMWARE UPGRADES.

There are issues with certain media. Some 2x media can only be burnt at 1x. Depends what media you plan on using. I use Verbatim and have no problems with the newest firmware 1.33:)

I also have no problems with latest fw1.33 on my A04/104

What is 1.33 supposed to update?

The Pioneer website says: "Current Firmware Version 1.33 support for CMC Media added." If your debating whether to upgrade your drivers ic99fly, do it. Its best to be up to date so you dont run into conflicts with new software.

OK, I was just wondering. I will most likely be getting my A04 for xmas I hope. Anything special that I need to do to it right out of the box? Other than the firmware upgrade of course.
