Ripper
 

Hi,

I'm about to install the Ripper modchip. Just wanted to know if someone here has it installed on his PS2 and be sure I won't get any trouble in future with the lens or anything else.

You should have no problems with the laser. You can extend the life of your laser by using high quality media such as Verbatim or TDK. All lasers die eventually, not just modded ps2s.

TDK all white top dvd-r are crap. I just bought some in a 100pk and all of them were either very choppy or didnt boot at all. As soon as I burned on Verbatim, all was good.
