Age of Mythology Online nocd no good

Is anyone else having problems getting to play online with the nocd patch from gamecopyworld? I get the error message

"Your version does not match the host version. Please make sure that you have installed the latest patch."

I have absolutely no idea what to do, if you have had this problem and got it fixed, PLEASE, PLEASE post here and explain how you got it to work!!

Even if your playing the game online w/ the nocd let me know, so at least I know it's not the nocd patch that is no good.

Thanks everyone!
Will

Please continue to use your other thread about this subject here. Making new threads about the same thing solves nothing.

speaking of that thread, where the hell did it go? :p

Well, last time I checked some slimeball was suggesting everyone on the thread was using warez like he did. I was just preparing a mighty flame when I noticed the whole thread was gone. I guess the slimeball managed to piss off a mod enough to dump the whole thread. Pity, because the slimeball in question was the only warez user there. Now I don't even know his name, never had time to make my post.

So officially, this is now the "AOM nocd doesn't work online" thread ;)

Anyway, I helped the original poster of this and the missing thread by suggesting he'd make a Clonecd image of the cd and mount that using Daemon Tools. You can play without the cd and you don't have to wait for a new nocd every time the executable gets patched to a new version. Because a new nocd is clearly needed, when the online server complains about different versions.

So everyone, follow my advice above, or, like in the deleted thread, you can moan away about how your nocd doesn't work. Whatever gives you the most fun :D

Listen to the man

Listen to Rincewind, he knows his sh@t.

Nocd is beautiful, just write the image to file, and then load it using daemontools. If you can use GUI then u can figure this out...

They took away my other thread b/c of some warez f#%k? :( I think i'm going to cry! What a beautiful thread it was :(

You should know by now that you're in a legal grey area by not having the original anymore. If you really don't want to get another original from microsoft (they will replace it for a fee, but I understand it if that's too much for you), you will be dependant on crackers to make a new crack each time a new patch comes out for AOM. Good luck. Oh, and BTW, if you manage to get a good clonecd image, you CAN burn that image as data on a cdr, so you put the .ccd and .img/.sub files in the main directory of a cdr, maybe compressed with winrar. This would be a good way to keep a backup of a game that you can't copy exact with your burner.
