erm...I'm no expert but I think if you get a TV card it should have the sockets you need to connect your video to the pc.
If I'm wrong I'm sure someone will let you know... |
There are some video cards that will. That is the best way. There are also some usb devises that will. I used a Voodoo3500 TV card and it worked great. But they have since gone out of business.

I would not get a tv tuner card, or if you don't have the slots try this device. You plug the rca jacks or s-video into this device and plug it into your usb port and there you have it. The device is called: Dazzle Digital Video Creator here are 3 sites from BestBuy that have the product.

dazzle reads stuff in fine, it has problem putting it back onto tapes (at least im too dumb to figure it out). however, it should end up being the easiest way to do it.

i've done it using my old 4Mb ATI all-in-wonder pro.
all you need is a card that supports Video-In and a lot of hard disc space. if you need a new graphics card as well then i'll advice you to get the 64Mb ATI all-in-wonder. this card supports VIDEO-IN, has a TV card and many more usefull features. the downside is that ati have a bad rep in making newer driver updates. hope this helps. |

Snip:
You don't need that much disk space if you've a fast pc. You can do realtime (divx) encoding than.. You need the hard disk space because video saved to the HDD is quite large! KC... |
