NFS 6 music files

Hi,

does somebody know what these files are? I know they are not mp3īs.

GLH 03-11-2002 13:40

I have tryed to change the music files of NFSHP2 with no success.
That are ASF-Files.

After a few hours of "googling" (www.google.de), i have read something about ASF-Files.

It seems that these files have to do with RealPlayer.
If you have an WMA file you can rename it to a ASF-File.

I have converted a MP3 to WMA, renamed it to ASF and put it in NFSHP2. But then i have not any music.....

Anyone with a working solution...

Hi guys, I believe these files have _nothing_ to do with M$'s "Advanced Streaming Format" ASF files as Windows Media Player (6.4) doesn't play them. It must be EA's own format for storing wave audio in some kind of a compressed file.

Yes, it _would_ be nice to be able to rip those musics. I really loved the rock musics in _all_ NFS games! :)

Joe is right, those ASF files cannot be played back with WMP.
and so far, i haven't found any tool for these music files.

Can anybody explain me,how I can play my MP3's in NFS6?
Which format must tehy have or is it impossible to copy my MP3-Files into the audio-archive of NFS6?

How can I play my songs in that wonderful game?

Can anybody help and explain it to me???

PLEASE!!!

Im under the impression that u can use that 'ditter' tool that EA mentions in the NHL 2003 Readme to convert your Mp3's to the games music format.

You have to download it from EA's website.

Hey Guys !
IT WORKS PERFECT !!!

Convert a MP3 to correct format, rename to TRACK[_].ASF, copy in directory, change entrys in the ini file if you want and then start the game !!!

Joe Forster/STA 08-11-2002 04:16

Hey, that's nice! BountyWarrior, is there an ASF->MP3 converter, too?! :D

Joe

GLH 08-11-2002 04:56

With this Tool there is no way to convert the original music files (asf) to MP3.
The Tool is only for import own music (MP3) to NHL2003. The tool can be used to add a "Stadium-Effect" to the new ASF-files.
