CloneCD Question

I have a Burner that supports RAW read/write (TDK VeloCD 24/10/40) and have all the necessary settings in CloneCD to make a cd copy, yet the CloneCD Log floods itself with Read Errors, is this supposed to happen? And if it is not, can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks...

Tick the box that says "Dont report read errors"

.. and you'll get a perfectly cloned defective CD-R. It means that either your source CD is shot or the lens needs cleaning.

I tried yesterday to use CloneCD for the first time. Nothing registered in the "Progress" field and I got a long list of "failed to read sector xxxx" messages. Not every sector was listed but I assumed nothing was happening and aborted. Anything obviously wrong here??? Any suggestions?? Cheers

what are you trying to copy if its pc games as some will give you errors so tick fast skip errors (is it safe disc2 or save disc1 protected as some writers will not do S/D2) if its psx games the game maybe damage in someway (psx games DO NOT have error on) there is a prog called clony which will help you with the setting for cd clone

I was trying to backup a Microsoft Encarta CD.

The many read errors are a part of the copy protection on the disk. These are normal. Get copy detection software from GameCopyWorld, like Yaps, or Clony (XL) to detect what form of copy protection is present on the original, and follow the advice they give on making a backup.

Nevermind guys, the copies work perfectly, the read errors are normal I guess, they are supposed to be there, even though the copy works perfectly. Thanks for all the help.
