Newbie question of the day
 

Ok, so i buy a Ps2 from walmart which most likely will be v7. This will be capable of playing only ntsc games.

Suppose i want to play PAL games on this, a game bought from Hong Kong let us assume.

Will just having a messiah 2 PRO (compared to the regular Messiah) do the trick or will i have to use one of those "patches" i keep on hearing about?

Basically, what determines if you can play PAL on a NTSC system? The mod chip or something else?

The Messiah 2 will Direct Boot all import games....
No need to patch...
The ONLY problem you may run into, is that a PAL game is in PAL format... If you do not have a multi-system tv, the picture may roll. (This is what happens on mine when playing a PAL game)
If you have a Multi-system TV that can display PAL & NTSC signals then you have no worries.....:cool:

i only have a crappy 27in. toshiba from 2 years ago :(

Then more than likely, it won't display a PAL game correctly...:mad:
