Mafia NO-CD error
 

Ok, after trying the cracked .exe from many different sites, I know that theres something wrong with something other than the .exe. The error I keep getting is

Game.exe - Bad Image
The application or DLL ...\Mafia\ls3df.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette.

I tried looking around on the CD's but couldn't find a thing. Is it possible for someone to send this file to me or has anyone else had this problem before? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What patch do you use?
What os do you have?

where did u get the crack 4 Mafia?
 

Where bouts did u get the no cd crack for Mafia? cos ive bin looking all over the place... i did find a couple over @ megagames.com but they wont d/l..... any idea why?

I don't know why you can't dl from megagames but you could try the search on gcw's main page. You'll find what you need there.

The install I did was from a backup, I don't have any patches or anything, it was just a straight install, and I'm running Windows 2000 Pro, but I also tried installing it on my friend's computer who is running Windows XP to see if it was an OS problem but his computer had the same error.

Try a win2k fixed patch.

ok, I just installed XP today so I can play a few other games I was having problems with. Mafia unfortunately is doing the same thing still. do u have a XP crack?

There should be no need for a special xp fix. If the fix works for win2k it also should do fine for xp.

nope, it doesn't work in either Windows 2000 or Windows XP, I'm just goin to have my friend make another backup of the game and try again. thanx for the help though!

Oh, I didn't get that friend thingy. I thought he was trying to backup the game again on his friends computer (other hardware..).
