Help a newbie please
I'm thinking about buying a PS2, and a modchip. I wanted to get the autoboot, 3-wire mod chip. Is there anything that is bad about this mod chip? I was also wondering, is copying PS2 games the same as copying PS1 games? Also, when copying a PS2 game, do you have to always burn a DVD or are some games able to be ripped onto a CD. Thanks.

Never heard of that mod chip... Could you post a link so we could take a look at it....
Although you are going to be told, the Messiah, Apple & Magic 2 are the best chips out right now.... Any chips that has only 3 wires will probably require a GS/AR2 to boot backups which means you have to SWAP.... That's NO GOOD! |
http://www.consolesource.com/playsta...p2-nsa-gs2.htm is the link. Where can I buy the messiah? and is it worth waiting for the messiah 2? also, what will the messiah 2 do that the messiah won't?

What version PS2 do you have... If you have a PAL PS2....Contact Charlie_PS2 or Dust2Dust through their profile... They can set you up with a Messiah.....

if its a ntsc console
my guess is we be able sort u messiah2 before most of the others can no set dates yet |
okay, so after I get a modded ps2 do I just copy the PS2 games like I would a PS1? and do I always have to use DVD-R?
|
If you copy your PS1 games with Clone CD, then YES, copy all of your PS2 CD BASED games with Clone CD... Use DVD-R's on the DVD based games and burn them with Primo DVD...
