which means what???
do i have to do anything special or what

TylerDurden 27-10-2002 17:32

Its not a major thing to worry about. Any game you purchase locally will most likely be NTSC.

PAL is used in most other contries like England and many others. All it means is that they use a different frequency when making PAL games. If you ever wind up with a PAL game (by purchasing one from oversees) all you will have to do is find a PAL to NTSC patch for it and you will be all set.

I wouldnt really worry much about it.

PAL games are usually known for EUROPEAN Games displayed in 50khz frequency format. When displayed on a NTSC/U.S. system the screen usually rolls/flips... Which makes the game unplayable.
There are Generic Tools if you have a backup image of the game you can patch it NTSC video mode. Doesn't always work though...

NTSC games are known as U.S. & Japanese based games for the PS2. Which the display is 60khz format. There are also generic tools to convert ntsc to pal too.
