I have been doing some reading and this is the important info I have on my ps2

8 screws on the bottom.
model number. SCPH 30001
serial starts with, U0
and last. Date code LC.

What is the best mod chip for this.

I would go with messiah m8!

Remember, the Messiah will only work on the US version V4 with the gap bios....

From what I can tell...(Im not 100% on this)
The V4's with a date code of 1A or 1B were the only v4's to have the gap bios...
Maybe Charlie_PS2 or someone can post some more info on this..
I just don't want you to purchase the wrong mod chip...

A sure fire fact is that all Gran Turismo bundle pack ps2's (red box) were messiah chippable.
