initially works out around the same, in the long run you will see a better return for money from Messiah

how difficult is it to put the messiah into my ps2 by myself? i mean i'm not that big noob in electronics but i don't have a clue about the ps2 inside

if you have got a lot of patience and a fairly decent knowledge of soldering you could attempt it yourself. make sure that you get yourself the right tools for the job - see charlie's sticky post on mod installation.

otherwise get a pro to do it
