Problems copying Thrill Kill
Hi there,
I've been trying to copy a Thrill Kill PSX game CD, but for some reason I can't. I've copied several PSX and DC games before with no problems, using CDRWIN, CloneCD and/or Nero. I already tried with all three applications, and none of them worked for this game (with Nero and CDRWIN I get some "unable to read" errors, and with CloneCD it doesn't give me any errors but it takes a looooong time and the final copy does not boot). I thought that maybe the source CD was damaged, but I played it on my PSX and it seems to be ok. Any ideas? Thanks, Eddie Lopez |
clean the disk really well and then try the blindwrite suite,it may take ages but u should get a working copy!!
as it's a backup in the first place u might not be able to make a back up from it,it depends how well the disk was burnt! |
And where can I get a good copy and a tutorial (if necessary) of that blindwrite suite? What does this application do that others don't?
Thanks again! Eddie |
thrillkill? i thought it got cancelled!!!
|
It did get cancelled but copies of it still exist. It's a pretty good fighting game but it's no Street Fighter Alpha 3.:)
|
blindwrite suite is a burning software for scratched or damaged disks so if it can be read then blindread (which is part of the blindwrite suite) will read it,as for a tutorial try reading the help file that comes with the program!!
|
If I remember right there's a few different versions, I have the one that was supposably completed. It's interesting but more fun knowing it was scraped and not suppose to be available.:D
|
there are 5 versions of thrill kill-
first there is the extremly hard to find "slaughter and mutilation" which was the original working name for the project when it was first shown at the e3 computer and console show. the ntsc beta version with 6 tracks on the disk and no character endings, the pal beta version with 10 tracks and some character endings, the full uncensored version with 14 tracks and the full censored version with 14 tracks that was censored by the esrb. |
Wow! I had no clue there was so many versions. I think i've got the NTSC full uncensored version with ending videos.
|
u can tell if it is the uncensored version when the guy who fights with the leg is on screen.
at the beginning when he bites into the leg if u hear a ripping sound and then yum yum it is uncut!! |
I've heard the ripping sound, not sure about the "yum-yum" though:)
|
my mistake,if u hear the ripping it is uncut,if u hear yum yum it is cut!!
i just checked both my full us versions!! the only version i'm missing is slaughter and mutilation and i dont think i will ever find that:rolleyes: |
hey pretty dope i thought it only didnt make europe, cuz ive got the american version its also the uncensored with i think all 14 tracks, cuz i played it and it went on and on till i didnt feel like playin it anymore.....there is no overall road or something where you can see how far to go so thats pretty ****ed up and the gameplay aint that good either.....but its cool to have a game thats pretty rare:D
|
thrill kill is a wicked game and was a landmark in console fighting games!!
the fact that ea games cannot see this is a joke because if they released it i think it would be a number one seller but they think it would corrupt people's minds!!! if video games corrupted people u would get them running around munching pills and listening to repeatitive music!! |
Society just loves to blame video games as the influence for all brutal crimes. :( It's a damn shame.
