Backup Procedure NTSC-PAL
Hi,
If have a modified PAL PS2 gameconsole with DVD Region X but i can't play orginal import NTSC games? I've been told to make backups of these games and the will play! I tried many ways to burn but after booting (startup) the screen only turns black. What can go wrong, or who can tell me the proper procedure to create a backup from orginal NTSC which play on a PAL system. |
Lots of guidance stuff on www.psxcopworld.co.uk.
Essentially CloneCD is the program to make 1:1 copies that don't need patching. Try and avoid patching, it's time consuming and doesn't always work. Modern PAL TVs are multi-system and will happily display NTSC games straight out the back of the PS2. Otherwise, for the one TV I have that isn't multi-system, I have an NTSC-PAL convertor bought from Maplins. As you didn't mention your modchip, we are in the dark as to how to advise you further. |
Modified Chip
My PAL gamecontroller is modified with a neo2.2 chip.
I tried to backup the game "jak and daxter" (NTSC) but it's to big (1.3 GB) to fit on a CDR 80 min. I tried serveral patches but non of them was succesful. Please advice? |
I don't know the specific game (I'm a techie) but if it's a DVD game you need a DVD-R burner to copy the game properly.
Also the Neo2.2 is a modification to your PS2 not your 'gamecontroller'. |

Your PAL PS2 is modified with a Neo2.2. If your game is a DVD game it will not copy to a CD. |
