.dat file
 

I downloaded and extracted a .dat file from a newsgroup (from a rar file).

It is supposed to be a movie (freeware) although I don't know how to view/extract it.

It did have a nfo file with it although didn't really tell me anything I didn't already know. It also had a sfv but I'm not really too sure what they are all about.

Can anyone enlighten me on the ways of opening and viewing movies with a .dat extension?
Possibly I'm lacking a vital piece of software?
