Is there a Boot cd that works?
 

Im looking for a boot cd for my old playstation 1. I tried several links to so named "boot cds" but it was just a waste of my blank cds. is there anybody who can tell me where i can download a boot cd that works? but dont link me to that import player thing because that one is not a boot cd.

if u could burn a boot cd to a cdr then why would u need a boot cd to play cdr's?

yeah thats right, but i thought that there is a possibility that a boot cd works. there is a boot cd that i could buy for 25$ named "ps X change 2" or somethin like that and i thought that í could download a image of that cd somewhere. i dont even know why the ps doesnt read backups. how does the ps recognizes that im using a backup?

It must be a original PSX-change to boot backups. no image backed up to cdr will work without a modchip.

It seems a new batch gets hatched every couple of months :D

but how does the ps recognizes that i inserted a backup? it aint the color from the bottom of blank cds so what is it? why cant nobody copy or "clone" a cd without needing a chip to play?
a had a modded ps but i ****ed it up :D
and know i planed to get a boot cd instead of soldering a chip and shit like that. i orderd a chip yesterday because ya guys told me it aint possible to run a backup of a boot cd.
so please somebody explain why that shit doesnt work...

playstation games r not burned but pressed and they press some bad sectors at the very beginning of the disk that cannot be read by anything but the psx!

thx, thats all i wanted to know. that zedy dude should learn something from you, cuz not everybody is a ps freak like he is.
i dont know shit about ps or copy protection levels, and thats why i came to this forum.

Ps-x change 2 is the best boot cd ever and you should'nt waste your dough on other boot cds on internet stores. This thing works good and it even has a thing where you can put gameshark codes.
