Ok...Before I burn ANOTHER coaster...*HELP*
Ok, so my lik-sang.com APPLE Pre-modded PS2 just came in today...
It seems to be fine with the majority of my PS1 backups ( made previously on Imation CD-Rs using CDR-WIN, some within the last few days. All games were read and burned at 32x and have never failed me ) However... I went out and rented a few PS2 CD-based games ( since I have yet to get an A04 ) and tried to image and burn the following games. CDRW Drive : LiteOn 32x10x40 IDE Freekstyle - Image made at 32x, burned at 4x. : FAILED : Silpheed : Image made at 32x and 4x. Burned at 32x once with the 32x image. :FAILED: Burned at 4x once with the 32x image. :FAILED: Burned at 4x once with the 4x image. :FAILED: Now, I know it isn't CDR-WIN because it's worked flawlessly for ages ( version 3.8g ). If anyone has any ideas as to why these are failing, please let me know. Thanks! |
Maybe they are copy protected games and should thus be copied 1:1 with CloneCD.

alot os ps2 games require patching if copied with cdrwin
try using cloned cd reading the sub channels when writing dont repair subs then u will require no patches as long as your drive is compatible with clonecd raw dao 96 |
What version of CloneCD are you all using? I've got the latest but it seems pretty skim on letting you choose the options.
|
I use Clone CD 4.0.1.3 in conjunction with Clony XXL 2.0.0.6.... Has never failed to produce a working backup.....

Looking good guys. Not sure why I didn't try it earlier. hehe.
CDRWIN, You have failed me!!! :p |
I dont know if this helps or not but i copied silpheed with clone cd 3.0.7.2 . It boots perfectly on a v5 with a magic 2 chip. Give clonecd a try.

BG, where did you get your clone CD and Clony XXL. (English Version) Direct Links please if you can... I'm having trouble with a few games. I'm over here in Oregon and there are a few PSX games that I can't get to boot correctly.

The server is down right now.... It should be back up shortly...
You can get both programs from here: Clony XXl and Clone CD .... You can also pick up Clone CD from HERE! Also orion731, are you sure your burner is compatible with Clone CD? You can check and see if it is HERE! |
