Sbox/modchip Trick??
 

Hello,

Since I have installed the Sbox on my PS2, it only loaded the cds by clicking and ticking. This was a very slow process.
Then, I came up with a trick. For PS games, I loaded an original and then quickily replaced it and turned off the sbox. The game ran perfectly with no ticks.
I tried it with the Gameshark & ps2 burned games, this time i didnt swap anything just turned it off on time. perfect again. The trick was timing.

Are these cds supposed to tick like that without the trick. Or am I supposes to adjust the pots immediatley after I install the sbox?

This is my 2nd laser, so I don't want to kill him either.

The problem is the s-box itself. If i were you i would update to a magic 2, messiah or a origa chip. If not you are sure to soon be looking at laser #3.
