Multiple CD Games to DVD-R?
 

Is it possible to burn games that are more then 1 cd to a dvd-r like baldurs gate 2, icewind dale, etc.. ?

Just got a pioneer 104 dvd-rw drive :)

Mmmmh, interesting question.

It should be possible, but why? You won't be able to play with it. Most games are checking the cd-label, which you are not able to deal with using a dvd-r (only one label). Thus you can't use a fixed exe, as the backup CDs (with the correct label!) are still needed.
The only way to circumvent this, is a no-cd crack, but if you are using a no-cd crack, you don't need a dvd in your drive.

That's at least what I think. Maybe someone is smarter than me?

Hey IceDigger, here's a crazy idea for you. :rolleyes:

Create images of the original CD's, burn the _images_ onto the DVD and then run those games off the DVD, using Daemon Tools (or some other nice program that creates virtual CD drives, showing the contents of CD images inside them). :D
