Is the TOC size of the two games you use for the swap BIGGER than the Spiderman game????

EXACTLY what mod chip do you have?????

If we cant get DVD-R playing (assuming you are using the correct boot method, and your mod chip supports DVD-R) BUT CD-R backups boot OK, then you may have a laser problem....

spiderman-pal

i think mod 2

i have buy it 2 wweks ago on www.modchip.com

there were 8 wires to solder and the say that the chip can buildin
almost all ps2 models.

ps i have heard about a condensator that i most place between wire 2 and the motherboard for disc spin ????

but wy al my ps2 compacdisk games work

CD-R backups are FAR easier to read than DVD-R backups.... You may have a laser problem....

BG 17-09-2002 15:47

BEFORE you go out and buy a laser...... Go to the website you mentioned and find the mod chip you bought and tell us EXACTLY which one it is..... You may find out that your chip will not play DVD-R backups.....

oke here is the tekst from modchip this is the chip i have

The ModChipShop.com PS2 ModChip is the World´s Best and Most Reliable PS2 ModChip. The chip comes complete with wires, solder, instructions & installation diagrams. All chips are shipped in anti-static packaging for maximum protection. Game Shark 2 (US Version) or Action Replay 2 (PAL Version) is needed to play PS2 Backups. PSX backups play without any need for either of these. The ModChipShop.com PS2 ModChip is compatible with every PS2 model.

Modchip

I think I almost bought the same chip. I have found that if it does not specifically say that it boots DVD-R, then its a pretty safe bet that it does not support DVD Backups. They will never tell you what it will not do, only what it will do.

But, maybe I'm wrong

The easy way to find out is to send them a e-mail asking specifically "Will this chip boot DVD-R backups and if so, HOW?"

dust2dust 23-09-2002 01:47

bg got your solution mail them
but to ease your mind a bit why u wait for reply
8 wires to me its got to b a neo or a clone
on a v4 neo will boot dvdr

hannez 26-09-2002 02:56

oki

i also think that it is a neo ..

but i mail them today :)

i will leave a new message here soon thx
