how do i find whetha i have a modchip?

i'm not sure that i have a mod chip in it or not, cus i got my ps2 from singapore, and it can run burnt games that i buy from there, but only through ar2 v2 cd

Obviously u got a mod chip on ur ps2 otherwise u wont be able to play any burn game and i think is neo 2.2 with AR2............

fatpighunter 11-09-2002 21:25

is there any way i can load the games w/o the ar2 v2? cus it gets really annoying

Question to fatpighunter: Are the HP DVD's you mentioned DVD-R or DVD+R???

fatpighunter 11-09-2002 21:40

this is what the name is:HP DVD-Writer DVD100I

BG 11-09-2002 21:48

Ok... The drive you mentioned is a DVD+RW drive...
What version PS2 do you have..... Some older version PS2's don't like the +R format.... Also some home dvd players don't like it either...
If possible stay with the -R format like the Pioneer A03 or A04...

fatpighunter 11-09-2002 21:50

how do i tell wat version i've got?
