Xbox Info needed
 

I heard rumor of another price drop on the Xbox due this month.
I wanted to know if the parts in the console have gotten cheaper yet? You know like they did with the ps one. Every few months or so the technology change inside and usually turned on the cheaper side or not built as good as the first bunch of systems first released.
If that price drop this month is true, does anyone know or have an idea if this unit will be made cheaper???? Ive read (back in June) on a xbox site that they will be making them cheaper and I want to get one before any kind of change over.
Or perhaps the only thing I can do is check the date on it when I purchase it. Can anyone refer a date to look for if there are part changes?

I dunno where you live, but theres going to be no price cut here in the USA.

The console has gotten cheaper to make. About $2.79 cheaper, per console. And the technology changes inside the xbox to prevent piracy from mod-chips.
There is no need to know the date. The only reason that it's relevant at all is because some of the older modchips have been blocked. But there are far better modchips made that work on all consoles.

I dont how true it is I guess only the 23rd will tell. All sites had similair wording except for XboxLive. They just mentioned it and said we'll wait and see.

How would I be able to tell if I got the one that has the parts change? I saw the pics on a site installing a mod on it maybe that would help?
Dam I always wait until the last minute and end up with the more complicated ones. PS ONE was a Beeatch!
I read you recommend the Xecuter mod. Is that the best one and easiest one on the market right now?

I guess I was wrong. This is the first I've heard about it. Maybe more reliable sites like gamfaq will post something about this. I'm still kinda skepticle.

I sure hope M$ knows what they are doing. A price drop from 300-150 in less than a year would be stupid for any other game company to do, but I guess M$ has alot of money to back it up. They are sure going to lose alot of money on each sale.

oh yah, and I don't think it really matters which one you get. The newer modchips should work, and if not, then even better ones will come out. And pretty much all of them will have a switch to turn the chip on or off.

Sure hope this system stays on the market and keeps up the competition against P.S. This is a great console, and hope that the price drop is Bill's way of thinking of giving to charity in a different way. :) I know if its true on the 23rd Ill be waiting for the store to open to get my xbox plus about 5 games. Little hands around the house will have to be monitoried though, they tend to create problems. UGH!

Welp, I guess the price drop for the 23rd was rumor. I called and checked on the net and seems like someone had a good time making up a fable.:rolleyes:

That sucks. They got all the main webmasters believing it.
