Can DVD-R be booted on ps2 with Neo2.2 Mod?
 

just wondering, but can dvd-r's be booted on a Neo2.2 modded ps2 (any versions) although the 3000x-R wont, but do the previous versions boot them with the likes of DVD Region-X or AR2 cart. ?

Yes it can but only the early version.

With the help of AR2 or GS and one original ps2 game with the highest TOC,u wil be able to boot the dvd-r game.

Only works for console versions 1 thru 4

I have a version 30004R with a NEO 2.2 as Warlock said and all dvd-rs boot fine through AR2 V2 as andex pointed correctly with
a double swap using one original ps2 game(DOA2) with a higher TOC than the dvd-r backup.
