My Region X cd is scratched and i plan to back it up. Will it still work if i backed it up? My PS2 is not modded at all.

Also, what mod can let me record dvd's onto VHS as well as play any dvd region?

No mod defeats Macrovision,

Refion X copy won't boot without Messiah or Magic 2 mod chip.
