Since ur the best person 2 ask for advice on this forum, i wanted 2 ask, is it worth me buying a Pioneer A03 Writer using Firmware 1.68, or buy the A04, cos a guy in the computer fair was trying persuade me 2 get the A04.

Go for the A04. I just bought mine and examined the comparison charts at the bottom. The A03 and the A04 are the same drive apart from the A04 is compatible with more media brands than the A03. The A04 is obviously the right choice. Go for it!

I'm Charlie. It doesn't matter which you get. The A03 is older and doesn't have burn proof but if it's $100 cheaper, get that. I have an A03.

Nothing wrong with the A04 and if the price difference isn't great, then take the A04.
