1:1 copies don't work on all computers

1:1 copies don't work on all computers, why's this?

More information may help maybe

But have you considered the ATIP check and Hide CD-R Media?

an example,
i 1:1 copied FIFA 2002 world cup, it worked all good, but not on my friends computer. Then i stuffed my comp up, and needed to format the hd, after that the 1:1 copy didn't work, same with a copy of cricket 2002

But have you considered the ATIP check?

Every CD-R contains an ATIP - this contains info on dye colour, length, manufacturer etc. Pressed cd's (originals) don't have an ATIP as they are pressed so don't need one. Most of the new games have a secondary protection to check for an ATIP; if an ATIP is found then it knows it's a copy. The problem with this protection (and it's the main reason why it's a secondary protection) is that only cd-writers can read ATIP; normal CD-ROM's cannot.
So the solution is to play the game in a CD-ROM. For those without a CD-ROM drive, then Hide CD-R Media is the solution as it hides the fact that the cd has an ATIP (works like an emulator).

If this isn't the solution then I would guess that it's not actaully a 1:1 copy. Fifa WC is Safedisk 2.51 and hard to copy - it depends on what writer you have - what writer do you use to copy it? For example, some writers are only capable of making a copy of the game that is only playable in the actual writer.

Thats it! Use Safedisc2Cleaner and you will also get rid of the ATIP check (as it is part of SafeDisc, afaik).
