KingPin -forgot password-
 

this is a bit unrelated, but.....
when you install kingpin you can have a password for the violence/swearing, anyway, i've forgot the password i used, and i can't play/uninstall/re-install the game, so is there a patch which gets rid of the password protection?

It's a long time ago, so I don't know if this will work, had this solution in a text file on my harddisk, try it and let me know what happens. I do hope you know how to change a registry key.

"The toggle is in the Windows Registry under \\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Xatrix\1.00.000. Change the 'ParentalLock' key to 0 (in hexadecimal) for OFF or 1 (in hexadecimal) for ON. Just be careful working with the registry. To get to it just click on start and select Run and type in "regedit" and click ok. That will get you to the registry. Locate the lock as shown above. Just don't change anything else."

I once had the same problem and this should cure it. If not let me know.

nah, didn't work, but just under that line in regedit is a string with the set password in it, so i got it back, thanks.
