 Instructions

 Included in the archive is a stand-alone patcher to patch your Warcraft III

 to 1.02. (Blizzard did not put this on their website since it contains

 Battle.net only fixes). Remember to use a virgin war3.exe in order for the patch

 to complete sucessfully. (You can use your war3.org for that)



 This crack will allow you to play on battle.net without a CD in your drive.

 It works for both the iso and the retail release. Of course a valid

 Battle.Net CD key is still needed. But now you can save your original in 

 a safe place. All version crc checking has been rerouted to use war3.org 

 (which is the securom protected exe).

 So make sure you keep that file in your Warcraft III Directory.



 Extract the two included files in the archive into your Warcraft III 1.02

 directory. Make sure your Warcraft 3 is at version 1.02 first! Else update

 it.



 Note: This release is also a No CD patch in that it allows you to play on

       Battle.net without a CD in your drive, which normally isn't possible

       due to the need for an uncracked exe to get past the version check.

Error connecting to Bnet

I get an error telling me that bnet is unable to determine my version and that I should re-apply the patch.

I have tried just using the patch itself ( game works no bnet )

I have also tried a suggestion found on this board ( which did work before this last patch. I created a bat file that swaps the exe files from the original one to the crack one.

For some reason after this update I am unable to get into bnet, but the game works fine and does read v 1.2

Oops...
GCW ripped the War3patch102.exe out from the archive...
and listed separately...

Warning: I didn't try this unofficial 1.02 patch, I let the WC3 update through battle.net and use the virtual crack listed above.
Btw, last night before I found this, the loader from virtual crack for 1.01b also works well for 1.02... (rename the original to war3.org, extract the war3.exe from gruwar3vcr101b.rar, ohya, original 1.01b war3.exe is the war3.org inside this archive!!)

Files changed after applied the 1.02 patch. (Important file only, hehe, Patch.txt just an exception, for reference...)

Notes: Before applying the patch, whether through battle.net or gimpsRus' unofficial 1.02 patch, get back the original war3.exe and worldedit.exe. Like me, i used Virtual Crack 1.01b for war3.exe and a Fixed 1.01 worldedit.exe.

Battle.net: 100% no version problem, but you need to change back to original war3.exe before the update download completed. Which means you may need the original cd in the drive when lauching with this original war3.exe. And maybe you can switch this before you press "Restart" by Alt+Tab back to Windows.

Unofficial 1.02 Patch: Risk of unidentified version problem, but you dun need the original cd in the drive. However, you still need the two original war3.exe (1.01b) and worldedit.exe (1.01).

Added: Using unofficial 1.02 patch to upgrade 1.01b to 1.02 tested, 100% working... so, better upgrade step by step using unofficial patches... (Checked using FlashSFV) ;)

Could somebody make a World Editor crack for 1.02? or does the 1.01 crack still work PROPERLY. I rember using the 1.00 crack for the 1.01 version and the maps wouldn't play properly so i want a crack that works perfectly.
