Version 7 Pal... what are my options?
 

I'm in Australia and have just bought a PS2, which I believe is a version 7 machine (39002). Seems there is very little information about this version of the machine and what works on it.

Anyone offer some advice on modding options? Any fellow Aussies know where I could get a suitable chip or no solder chip for it?

You may wanna check out the Magic 2 I think it may work on your ps2.

The Magic 2 V7 will work in your PS2..... There is only 1 restriction.
This came DIRECTLY from the Magic 2 site:

- There is a restriction on the Magic 2 v7 applicable to PAL PS2s whereby it can only play PS1 games for the same region as the PS2. So a PAL v7 can only play PAL PS1 games (30002/3/4 are interchangeable in this regard).

If I didn't already have a Messiah I would get the Magic 2.....
No more worries about having to patch, or wondering if it will play because its over a certain size.......
Just copy the Damn thing and PLAY!!!!!! LOL:p
