CD-R/W burning problem

Hi all,
I've just bought a LG GCC-4120B DVD/CDRW drive, but having trouble from the very beginning. DVD payback is smooth but when trying to burn CD-R or CD-RWs with either Nero 5.5.8.0
or the Easy CD creator, burning stops after a hundred MBs or so
and then the machine hangs. I wasted five CD-R last night in the process.

Please help.

BTW, my PC config is : AMD Athlon 1Ghz, 256MB RAM, 45GB HDD

Thanks in advance,
Bappa

Some software might be conflicting on your comp.
For starters ger rid of Easy CD Cremator as it isn't worth even a coaster.
Second update your Nero version or try the new Nero program (can't remember the name - mite be Nero Express or something).

Third - use CD-RW's for testing to save your disks.

Hi,
Thanks for the advice... Ya I know easy Cd creator isn't very good.. but I tried it after both Nero 5580 and Nero 5590 failed, and I was able to get a successful CDRW burn by using the Easy CD Creator (which came with the LG 4120B)... but that was it... after that four consecutive CDRs got wasted... :o

If I try to create a CD image to HD first then copy that... do you think it might help?

Thanks again,
Bappa

Yes - try to avoid copying 'on the fly' at all costs. It often leads to trouble.

Make sure you uninstall EZ CD as it sometimes can interfere with other proggies.
