NWN Manual on GCW no werky
 

Has anyone noticed that the download for the Neverwinter Nights Instruction Manual (PDF Document) is corrupt? Or is it just me and my inept mind and some crazy WinRar setting? I'm pretty confident that my WinRar is in working condition since I did register it.

I am just wondering because when I walk through some stores and such where there are people congrugating, they always say something like "Why are you walking around with your weapon unsheathed?" (and such and such, along those lines).

And yes, I do have WinRar v3.00, and have tried getting the manual from different servers.

Tried checking the game disks?, the manual's on there too. Or at least on the UK version it is.

probably has a pirated version.... Anyway, I tried it, and the .pdf file works for me. Does it say that it's corrupted when you try to open it? Try a different server mirror. You have acrobat reader to open it with, right?

BountyWarrior : I've tried looking on the CDs a few times, which CD is it on the UK version, and what is it ? A PFD file? A HTML document? A readme file?

Quall999 Actually no, i have the CDs. Not pir8ed (I will disregard your pointing of fingers). Don't do '//@r3z anymore, don't have time for that shit with my 56k. It's not worth my time or my effort. I'd wrather just get the real ver, either by borrowing or buying (in this case, borrowing). I've tried different mirrors yet with the same results, I'm getting CRC errors for some reason. (And yes, I have acrobat reader, a lot of new games come with it on the CDs to read stuff).

hmm, I guess I can email it to you if you can't get it. And it's I believe it's a .pdf file on the disc.

Its disk 1, in PDF fortmat. Although I believe u do have some kind of warez version due to the fact it even gives u the option to install the Manual at the start of installing the game.

Hmm, for some reason, there were no PDF files found on any of my CDs (Nwn_Play, Nwn_Install1, Nwn_Install2), yet I found it in my DOC directory where I had installed the game. Weird. Must be the UK version or something. Even the readme says to check CD1, which I have, and there is no 'Manual' directory.
The only reason I ask this question is because I had made a backup copy from my legit cds, and my friend had wanted to borrow it. My friend is quite inept with this whole backup thing. So I just lent him my originals, along with the manual. He unfortunately, is on vacation now, and i have no way of getting the game cds or the manual back. I do not know if it is because you people have the UK version of the game, and I have the US/Canadian version of the game, but the PDF was not on any of the 3 cds.
Now whether you believe that I legitimately own the game or not, stop accusing me because I cannot be bothered with your immature teenage-like accusations.
