Industry Giant 2 Super-Protection, uncrackable?
 

Well, I was playing IG2, using the 1.1 patch from this site, after a hour of gameplay, I found myself stuck in the game: all shops were having zero demand in every city, and the only way to make money here is selling things at the shops.

So, I posted it on the IG2 official forum, and a programmer told me that it is protection that occurs when the game finds that the original CD is not inserted.

So, Is it possible to we have a new crack to void this protection?

Yes, I have same problem so the crack sux or something so we need new better working ;)

I have got the german version of IG2 the english crack an dthe same problem. First i thought that this wont work because of the different versions but u use the english ig2 and english crack.

Please anyone, any cracker, VLuka! Can anyone PLEASE crack this game correctly? I wanna play it!! :(

I dont know what i have done but now it works!

1. IG2 installed
2 patch 1.1 installed
3. nocd crack (downloaded from Gamecopyworld) installed
4. big problem
5. nocd crack (Version 1.0 from megagames.com) installed (without setupreg)
6. ig2 works

So I mixed the ig2 1.1 with an 1.0 crack.

obitus, are you SURE it's working properly now? Sometimes it takes more than a hour to get the big problem...

and sometimes it takes 20 minutes.

If it does work, I guess it means the programmers have inserted this extra check in patch v1.1. But it also means you're back to v1.0 in bugfixes, since the exe is the most changed file in a patch. If nothing besides the exe was changed in the patch, you're back to v1.0, else you might also get all kinds of weird CTD's since the exe and the data are now out of sync.

It was to be expected really. Safedisc and securom get cracked left, right and center, so the game compagnies begin inserting malicious code of their own. These extra protections are far easier to crack than safedisc and securom, but the crackers have to know they're there in the first place. I think this just means that those cracks get here in phases, as more copy protections are discovered by the actual users of the game.

Just wait a few days for the new crack and in the meantime play with the disc inserted.

i played 2 hours then the grame crashs a i was back on the desktop. but the big problem did not appear.

the patch also replaces the enginetest.exe file (on 1.0 i had some problems with it , i wasnt able to play but the patch fixed it)



PS: sry for bad english, im german and very tiered (1.46 am here in berlin)

the idea i had was:

the cracks were from different hackers, coder or how ever u call them, so i thought in the crack from gcw had been sth forgotten
the hacker who did the crack from megagames did better work.

ps: the *.nfo (myth.nfo) looks like it would be part of an ig2 warez

I don't like playing an old game version when there is a new patch version available, but whatever!

As said RincewindTheWiz, we should wait for a new crack to be released. I just hope any good cracker knows about this issue and be working on it; otherwise, we're doomed. :p

I guess we are waiting in vain here. These crackers don't have the interest in cracking underated games.

And I simply can't play the game; as it wasn't and is not gonna be officialy released in my country, I'd to buy a pirate copy.:(
